Fine Art and Film
Fine Art
My art practice focuses primarily on ‘Uncomfortable Mundanity’, directed toward constructed interior spaces. The themes, of absence and vulnerability take shape within my practice, through the techniques of tonality and mark-making, establishing an environment of something feeling left behind.
Within my field as an artist, my work is developed mostly through oil paint, charcoal and coloured pencil.

Film
My film practice is focused predominantly on the study and analysis of film, the history of cinema, and theological and philosophical discussions surrounding Hollywood. My research has enabled me to grow in my knowledge of Hollywood’s history, the filmic techniques that construct cinema, and the composition of what makes a film, good. With specific reference to the history of Hollywood, ranging from the Classical Hollywood ‘Golden’ era, all the way to the present. Within my field, I have also been able to work practically, behind and in front of the camera, both in pre and post-production, on several short films.
Movie-magic
I have been able to experience working both behind and in front of the camera during pre-production, notably when I worked within production design as a hair, make-up and costume artist for the short film ‘In the Bedroom’ (Konieczny, 2023). As well as serving as script writer and producer for the short film ‘A Pair of Boxers’ (Li, 2023). Finally, acting in the short film ‘Video Pal’ (Newington, 2025).
My field of study focuses primarily on the analysis of Hollywood cinema, ranging throughout history from the Classical ‘Golden’ era, to the radical and revolutionary period of ‘New Hollywood’ of the 1970s, all the way up to the present day. With close analysis of film-form techniques, theory, and contextual referencing, I have gained an extreme depth of knowledge of the history of Hollywood and the filmic techniques used within cinema. Allowing me to produce essays and give presentations on key themes and periods of the genre.
